After 6 months of living in what can only be described as God’s cruel version of a frozen hell, us Canadians truly relish the summer. As soon as the weather hits positive temperatures, I’m talking 5 or 6 degrees, we’re itching to liberate our legs from their confined, skinny-jeaned misery. As a Canadian, I consider it my duty to get maximum wear out of my shorts, and strongly believe that if worn correctly, shorts can be appropriate for any occasion. Enter trench coat. Trench coats are pretty much the Betty Crocker mix of fashion. Add it to a simple outfit and watch it transform into something completely unexpected. In this case, adding a trench to my simple shorts and t-shirt outfit instantly made it acceptable dinner wear. Sorcery.
