Most of you have probably already guessed that my makeup routine, although simple, is incomplete without my signature red lip. You see, I’m very pale, and my lips have virtually no colour to them, so without lipstick I look like a ghoul. Although this may be acceptable on Halloween, it really isn’t on a day to day basis, hence my obsession with lipstick. I was on the hunt for a dark mauve lipstick when Aleah Rae approached me about a custom made lipstick from her Etsy shop, Makeup Meltdown.
So how does it work? The first step is filling out a questionnaire. You will be asked every lipstick related question possible, but the result is worth it. Next, you receive 3 options of lipstick based on your questionnaire. And then, as soon as you inform Aleah of your decision, you open your mailbox a few short weeks later with a wonderful surprise waiting for you.
My experience with makeup meltdown was amazing. I couldn’t have asked for more. I asked for a dark, matte colour, which is exactly what I got. But, the best part is that the lipstick isn’t matte to the point where it dries out my lips, but rather a creamy matte. So, if you’re looking for a particular shade of lipstick that you just can’t find anywhere, I highly recommend you check out this shop.
