Have you ever looked back at pictures of Kim K and wondered what the hell happened? And I’m not even referring to the bodycon loving, satin clad Kim of ’09. I’m talking about pregnant-with-North Kim. The difference between her pregnancy style this time around is comparable to Kylie’s lips pre and post injections. Initially, I was shocked, surely Balmain couldn’t have improved in quality so vastly within the span of 2 years. So I dug a little deeper, and I realized, the luxe factor was to be attributed to Kim’s recent mastery over monochrome. So in the name of science (okay, fashion), I conducted a similar experiment and wore a full monochrome look comprised of shades of taupe. The result was incredible. Bravo Kim, I think you found the formula for instant luxe! The best part about this revelation is that it makes dressing up so much easier. You just pile things on of the same colour without a second thought. What could possibly be better?
