In my book, fall/winter weekends are about bundling up and brunching. I arrived at Old School after a frosty walk outside only to be greeted by the smell of eggs, waffles and all good things in life. We were promptly seated, and ordered quickly on account of my usual state of hanger.
Here we have the special of the day.
A cheddar biscuit topped with a fried egg, onion ring, and brisket, otherwise known as deep friend deliciousness.
Old School happens to be owned by the same folks as School, so just by that introduction, I’m sure you can make out that the chicken and waffles were everything you’d expect and more.
Then came the Don’t Even Go There french toast. The name speaks for itself. This is no ordinary french toast.
This bad boy is cheesecake stuffed french toast rolled in coconut and drizzled with orange glaze. It tastes best when doused in whipped cream.
It was most definitely the push I needed to spend my afternoon lazing on the couch with a book in hand. If you’re planning on visiting this gem of a restaurant, make sure you make a reservation because it fills up fast!
Oh my word, this whole post looks so yummy! I bet the waffles were amazing xx
