As much as I love minimalism, it can be a challenge to look appropriately dressed for a night out. In fact, I’ve been known to show up to parties in sneakers in the past (which is totally ridiculous but always a great conversation starter). I’ve found that the easiest formula for me is a black dress which I like to dress up with gold accessories and a dark lipstick. My taste in accessories is the same as it is for my clothing – simple. I love collecting layering rings and stacking bracelets, which is why I was so excited to learn that ALEX AND ANI is opening their first store in Toronto. I’d heard about the jewelry brand a little while back and was very interested in their use of symbols to infuse ‘positive energy’ into their jewelry. My favourite one has a ‘path of life’ symbol charm on it to represent the choices we make to create our life. The ALEX AND ANI store opens in Yorkdale on Friday the 18th, so make sure you pop by to check out what they have in store!
