Daisho

Daisho

I know I’ve said this several times, but I truly mean it when I say brunch is my favourite meal of the week. So needless to say, when I discover a great spot for brunch, it becomes the highlight of my week. It’s in this same breath that I’d like to tell you guys about the most speggtacular brunch experience I’ve had in a while.

On Sunday, I got a few of my closest friends together and we all headed to Daisho to stuff ourselves with food and make occasional conversation between mouthfuls.

Like all good meals, this one started with buttermilk biscuits, served with butter and some sort of sweet yet spicy jam. Just as we began to nibble at inhale our soft and buttery biscuits, we were presented with our mains.

The fried chicken which was every bit as delicious as it looks. The server said no one could finish this in one sitting, but clearly she hadn’t met ravenous Sunday brunch go-ers.

The burger which I hear was delicious too (I mean, look at it).

The eggs benny with smoked trout for me. Guys, it is hands down one of the best eggs bennies I’ve had in the city.

And of course, the blueberry pancakes which were cloud-like monstrosities.

We left the restaurant incapable of walking due to our food coma. I actually had to get coffee to resist the urge to just go to go straight home and nap for a few hours.

I can’t figure out why it took me so long to come to Daisho for brunch, but it has shot up to my top 5 brunch spots in the city. If you’re looking for an unforgettable meal with a gorgeous view of the city, I couldn’t recommend it more!

Sounds like the perfect meal to me, I also love brunch. Eggs Benedict is my usual favourite, but I get the one with crab meat instead of pork because I am allergic to pork. This food was a feast for my eyes … thanks! x/Madison

Just curious- what type of camera do you use? Your picture quality is superb! I’m a new blogger so I love to get your recommendations on cameras 🙂

I use a Nikon D90 I believe – it’s discontinued, but I’m sure if you go to a camera store, they can recommend something similar!
