Dress: Cos; Necklace: Jenny Bird; Shoes: Zara (similar here and here)

As a creative, there is absolutely nothing more important than travel. Even a few days away to get a fresh perspective makes a world of difference. If you follow me on Instagram and Snapchat, you’ll know that I was in NY for 3 days, and I can’t tell you how refreshed and inspired I feel upon my return. As always, I’ll be sharing my travel diary, but for now, I wanted to share this outfit with you guys. So I’m it’s not a surprise considering my profession, but I’m an overpacker. I’m the girl who’ll check in a suitcase for a weekend trip and carry more shoes than I have days in a place. Recently however, I’ve been trying to change that. This trip, I traveled with a carry-on, and though it was only for three days, it was an achievement for me! The trick? Wear the heaviest outfit to the airport and pack the lightest and most versatile pieces (unless it’s the winter). This trip, I packed only dresses because it was 30 degrees outside. This dress from Cos weighed virtually nothing and went seamlessly from day to night.

I always tend to pack too much. I tell myself I’ll need all the clothes.

Love this look! And just like you, I used to be a heavy traveler until I started traveling with my fiance. We’re traveling around with just one backpack. Less makeup, less clothes, less shoes, more experience. 🙂

Another way to pack light – wear all your clothes on top of each other on the plane a la Joey wearing Chandler’s clothes on Friends. Haha

As soon as I saw the dress I was like “wow I love it’ no wonder it’s COS (my official supplier ahaha). I love this brand every time I go in France I buy so much clothes from them. I don’t even bother doing so many other shops because I’m always so happy with what I find in COS. Do you have a COS store in Toronto now?

Packing light is such a struggle for us too (yes the hubby also packs heavy and most of the time heavier that me ahaha). He does like you, he wears all the super heavy stuff for the trip and pack his shoes and jackets in the carry on.

    Love your necklace too!

    Have a great weekend.

    xx
