While visiting Bangkok this past January, I’d wanted nothing more than to extend my trip for a few days in order to visit Koh Phi Phi and Phuket. However, due to time constraints, I was unable to do so, and left with the feeling of having some unfinished business with Thailand. I came to terms with the fact that I wouldn’t be returning in the foreseeable future since my family and I had planned to spend the summer in Europe.

It wasn’t until a few days back that we decided to call it off due to unforeseen circumstances, at which point, I suggested Thailand,  along with Vietnam and Cambodia  – something that has been on my travel bucket list for years. After a series of conversations, we finally decided that I’d head to Thailand with my brothers for a week before meeting with my parents to continue on to Vietnam and Cambodia. While I was undeniably looking forward to returning to London, I can’t help but appreciate how the universe worked its magic to ultimately take me to Asia, a trip I’d been wanting to do for far too long.
