I think it’s pretty safe to say that we’ve reached peak distressing when it goes beyond jeans and ends up on sweatshirts too. But no matter, I’m still a fan of this trend – and chokers, can you tell? – and fell in love with this SIWY Denim top as soon as I saw it. Of course, I had to go the whole nine yards and style my distressed top with a black choker AND a leather skirt, because I wanted to fully commit to looking like a mix between Sandy and Danny Zuko from Grease. I’d like to think of my edgy choice in garb as a way to compensate for the fact that I’m secretly a 60 year old at heart, and consider going to bed at midnight living on the edge. You gotta do what you gotta do, right?
