Amatara Resort & Wellness

Amatara Resort & Wellness

unnamed-2

Life works in funny ways. This summer, I was supposed to go to Europe, but ended up traveling around Asia. After a whirlwind week in Thailand, I’ve now landed in Singapore where I have some spare time to catch up on overdue blog posts. If you follow me on Instagram, you’d have noticed that the past few pictures I posted were at Amatara Resort, a place that can only really be described as paradise on earth.

Since I’m not one for nightlife, I knew from the get go that didn’t want to live near Patong. While researching the island, I found that the Cape Panwa area was exactly what I had in mind – quiet, private, and incredibly beautiful – so I was absolutely overjoyed when Amatara Resort and Wellness offered to host me. My brothers and I could not believe our eyes when we were escorted into our massive villa which overlooked the ocean. We spent the next two days exploring the grounds, stuffing ourselves with the most delicious food from the array of restaurants on the property, and kayaking on the beautiful private beach. I also experienced my first Thai massage during my stay at Amatara, and let me tell you, massages will never quite be the same.

I’d like to especially thank Martin, who personally catered to our every need, from reservations at neighbouring restaurants, to answering questions about where to catch the sunset. Although I didn’t have the time to explore Phuket town, a beachside hideaway was exactly what I needed to reset my body. The only downside is that my stay was so memorable that I’m already looking forward to my next trip to Phuket.

Beautiful photos. I went to Phuket 4 years ago around this time of year too. And it is still one of my favourite trips. Like you I’m not much for nightlife so soaking up the relaxation in every way possible was the perfect way to spend the trip. I’m glad you had a good time. x Priya
