Celebrating Little Victories

Celebrating Little Victories

Jeans: Topshop; Jacket: Zara; Top: Zara (similar here and here); Shoes: Gucci; Hat: Sosken Studios

Today I want to revisit the topic of ‘resolutions’, or goals. What were your some of the goals you set for yourself this year? Personally, fitness was a big goal for me this year. The past 2 years were terrible for me in terms of fitness. I ate badly, I was inconsistent with my workouts, and was just overall really unhealthy. Late last year, I decided I was through treating my body like shit. So, I began making small changes in my eating habits and started going to the gym.

I’m so proud to say that over the last 2.5 months, I’ve been been on track for my fitness goals. From my experience, it’s so important to acknowledge progress towards longterm goals. It gives me a sense of achievement. So if you too, are on track for goals you’ve set for yourself, make sure you high five yourself! After all, life is all about celebrating the little victories.

Love this look, your jeans look so good. Nice shirt too. One of my goals is also fitness, I’m trying to choose healthier options when it comes to food and exercise more! xx

That’s awesome that you’re still going strong with your resolution, girlie! I think when we look at our goals as lifestyle changes, it makes it easier to attain because we have to deal with our mindset first. As for your outfit, I’m really swooning over that coat, it’s gorgeous! Thanks for sharing and I hope you’re having the best start to your week so far, beauty!

I too have managed to stick to all but one of my New years resolutions. I have been more on track with meal planning, I have been able to sleep more and be more in the moment. The only thing I am still not doing as well in is being on time! Gah!

Yay- go gurl! It always feels great when you see your body and stamina begin to change. I have some knee injuries so for the last few years, I’ve not been able to exercise the way I want which was soooo frustrating as I love running, going to dance classes…but this year, my goal was to teach Nigerian Dance Fitness Classes- basically a fusion of African dancing and cardio becauses I went to some classes when I was in Nigeria and they were SOOO inspiring, fun and did wonders for my body.
Anyhoo, I’ve taught one class so far which really pushed me because teaching/talking whilst you’re dancing is no walk in the park.
Anyhoo, I’m hoping I can keep up with it. x

So important to check in with your goals and honouring those commitments to yourself! I have been happy with my own fitness dedication too, as well as curbing spending and making sure to eat well and not drink too much- particularly when out at events.
    Keep up the good work!
