Scent has played a very important role in my life. I remember sneaking a spray or two of my mom’s perfume when I was little, and then my dad’s because clearly I was ahead of my time in terms of androgyny. Some of my most potent memories are associated with smell. Like how my mom would always wear Paloma Picasso when getting ready to go out. Or the smell of rain on grass always reminding me of home.

When I first smelled Vinyle by YSL, I knew it was special. Something about it evoked the feeling of independence and strength. Although I still love so many of my perfumes that it’s difficult to commit to just one every single day, Vinyle will most definitely be my perfume of choice when I want to feel powerful.

How about you guys? Do you have scents that you associate to particular memories? And do you have a signature scent? Most importantly, what is your favourite perfume at the moment?

I will have to try out this perfume. I like Olympéa from Paco Rabanne and Chanel perfumes. And Kilian and Byredo perfumes that are special and unique. Love the way you styled the miniskirt with fishnets, sweetie.

Love this shoot! I always love the idea of a signature scent, one that will always be associated with you when someone smells it. Mine is Coco by Chanel! xo Fiona

Love that skirt! Sounds like a great scent. I definitely have one I associate with my mom though I have never had just one I have stuck with.

Yasss, what a killer all-black outfit, Siffat! ♥
My all time favourite perfume is Lolita Lempicka, but it’s a powerful scent so I have more subtle fragrances for everyday life and keep my special perfume for special occasions 😉

    Have a great day, darling!

I love your vinyl skirt! I have a similar one. and yes! so many scents have that effect on me. Two of my favorites are bobbi brown’s beach and margiela’s beach walk because it really does remind me of trips I took to the beach when I was younger!

Babe, I LOVE the way you’ve styled that vinyl skirt! It usually reads edgy and grungy, but you’ve styled it in such a way that’s so chic with the coat and hat! Great styling, as always, and I hope you’re having a great week so far!

I’m definitely going to have to have a smell of this perfume now, I’m big on scents too, I remember my mum wearing estee lauder’s ‘beautiful’ in a pair of silk pajamas when I was 9 and I just thought she was the epitome of glam at that point.
My favourite scent of Jo Malone’s Blush Suede and Peony, I’m a floral girl.

Love your outfit here! I didn’t have the opportunity to smell this perfume from YSL but from your feedback it sounds like a perfume I would like.
Right now I love Atelier Cologne!
