I Found The Perfect Mix Between an Airbnb and a Hotel

Although a lot of my trips are jam-packed where I’m out exploring the city 24/7, sometimes, I opt for slow travel. You know, when you’re in a city for an extended period of time, and want it to have some semblance of ‘home’. It’s no secret that I spend a TON of time in London, and because I’m there so often for such extended periods of time, I want my own kitchen where I can cook. Yea, I like to eat out, but I also like to fit into my jeans when I get home from a trip.

I’ve stayed in Airbnbs a countless number of times, but during my last trip to London, I discovered Sonder, which is a happy medium between a hotel and an Airbnb. Like, how perfect, right? So obviously, I had to give you guys the 411.

So Sonders are basically these luxury furnished apartments that have the same homey touch as an Airbnb, but with a hotel vibe. What I mean by that is that everything is super sleek, they have a concierge service, and the entire building is home to other Sonder guests.

I arrived in London from Italy at like, 1am, and the check-in process was swamless. I entered my code (which was emailed to me), into their system, and came in through the main entrance of the apartment. Then I went up to my suite and entered another code to unlock it, and voila, I was home!

Sonder has a ton of properties in London, I stayed in this one, and couldn’t recommend it more. The location was insane – SO central! It was right by the Big Ben, and a stone throw away from the tube which got me literally anywhere I needed to go. And can we talk about the apartment itself? Massive windows, tons on natural light, a big bedroom, gorgeous kitchen. It literally ticked all the boxes. I honestly wish it was my permanent home.

Have you guys heard of Sonder? Are you as obsessed as I am?
