Growing up, I always knew Monica from Friends was my soul sister based on her love for food, affinity for coasters, and inherent need to control everything around her. The episode that really hit the nail on the head was The One In Barbados where she definitively proved why white women shouldn’t appropriate coloured cultural (mainly hair) norms, and that humidity does in fact, bring out the worst in people, myself included. I’ve since come to accept the fact that my hair cannot come out a winner in the battle against warm and damp weather conditions and have taken to styling it in a man bun (not pictured here) in recent times.
However, that is not where the problem ends. My skin has also fallen victim to humidity and had begun to look like an unattractive mixture of post sauna glow/post run blotchy mess. Fortunately, I do have a saviour which I wanted to share with you: Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer. It covers any red blotches, gives me SPF protection, and makes me look like I have a natural glow. Basically, it is a godsend. So for those of you also searching for a solution to your humidity ridden skin, you’re welcome.
This is such a great outfit! Love the color of that dress. And I totally feel you, hot weather makes my skin a complete disaster. Thank god for Laura Mercier!

Haha I know, right?! It’s a total godsend! xo
Love the cuffs on this jacket. And how you take two casual pieces and make them look chic! It’s the confidence in your pose that elevates the look most 🙂

It was definitely more of a risk, but I was happy with the end result 🙂
