I should probably have the words “retire your skinny jeans” emblazoned on my forehead. All summer long, I lived in wore a series of flared culottes. Now that fall has arrived, and I have worn my culottes enough times to be considered a Louis XVI impersonator, I have moved onto a tapered and cropped pant style. Now I’m not sure if there’s a name for it, but I have, in predictable fashion, bought a pair in several colours.

Anyway, getting back to this outfit. Since it’s still hot outside, and the summer feels endless, I chose to wear these pants with a crop top and scarf, because there’s really no bad time for a scarf, no matter how hot it is outside. If it seems to you that I am channelling tribe elder with this scarf/poncho situation, I am, but in a politically correct way.

    Hahahaha I should probably retire my skinny jeans too but I don’t want to . I love these cropped pants and I don’t what they call them either but like you said it is similar to culottes. I love the colour you picked and you look great on them.

    I’m so glad culottes are a thing! I’m planning on wearing them all the time until it gets too cold. I love the color of yours! And that fringe scarf is perfect!
