WMCFW Part 1

Dress: Oak + Fort (similar); Coat: H&M (similar); Shoes: Adidas Stan Smith

Although this was the outfit I wore on day 5 of fashion week, I’ve decided to share my outfits in no particular order. Before fashion week started, I went to Topshop to try on a few potential options, including ‘on trend’ things that I normally wouldn’t wear. To my utter shock, when I looked in the mirror, I felt like I was trapped in someone else’s body, like I was wearing a costume. I couldn’t bare the thought of wearing something that was just so far from my personal style. This was a really strange experience for me, because I used to love to experiment with different looks for fashion week. But then it hit me – I’d obviously found my personal style. So instead of buying things that I would only wear during fashion week, I instead headed to Aritzia, bought myself a pair of Adidas Stan Smiths and came home to scour my wardrobe for options. When I planned out my looks for the 5 days, I couldn’t be happier, because I found outfits that I felt were fashion week-worthy, but at the same time, true to my personal style.

    I love that you had a mini-realization and stuck to what you love. I think to create (or refine) a personal style you just have to realize that you already have one, whether you know it or not. What you wear, what you like, etc. that’s all part of your personal style. You look stunning, and happy, and comfortable and just wonderful.

      Thank you for your kind words. I think once you find that sweet spot that is your personal style, you just realize that it works for you and don’t want to stray from it. It took me so long to figure out my style, so I’m happy with where I am now 🙂 xo

    Such a fabulous coat and I love the way you styled it here with a classic red lip and those fab sunnies, you look so glam, but I love how the sneakers add a bit of a contrast to that vibe. Such great styling, girlie!
