I consider myself so lucky to be able to visit my family twice a year considering they live across the globe, but somehow no amount of time at home makes it easier to say goodbye. I’ll be going back to Toronto tomorrow, and while I’m looking forward to going back to work, visiting cafes, and seeing my friends, nothing can really compare to the time I spend with my family. One ways I deal with end-of-vacation blues is planning things to look forward to – this includes everything from short vacations, concerts, and restaurants to visit. Since me leaving home is usually gloom and doom for the rest of my family too, we decided to plan our summer trip to have something to collectively look forward to. After a lot of deliberation, it looks like I may be headed to London in August! So to my London readers, as soon as everything is finalized, I’ll be looking for restaurant recommendations and tips on where to take the best pictures!

Ahhh being away from one’s family is never easy. My parents and only brother are still back in Borneo whilst I left my hometown in 1995. Being in the States means we’re 33,000 miles apart and Whatsapp doesn’t quite make up for the distance 🙂 each time we’re together, I try to make the most of it, like you.
