The Trend: Sock Boots

Every once in a while, a trend becomes inescapable. We see it everywhere from runways to high street shops to the closets of our celebrity style icons. Initially you may think ‘not for me’, but after seeing it over and over again, you start thinking you should hop on board the bandwagon. We’ve all seen it with OTS tops and dresses, sleeve details, hoodies… I could go on.

The sock boot is fall 2017’s OTS top. You simply cannot escape it. We have Demna Gvasalia to thank for this, but thankfully, sock boots don’t have to cost $1000+. High street stores are doing an incredible job creating affordable variations of the trend, which I’ve rounded up. So, as with any omnipresent trend, if you can’t beat it, join it.

    I am seeing them everywhere! And yea sometimes I wonder if I actually like the trend or it’s just my feed that’s forcing me to believe that I like it.. But anyway, you look so good in these – love the red color. So chic!

    I will admit I have been thinking about a pair of late as well. I like that these have a low heel. The red is really fun, but I always end up with black! So bad, my black boot collection is crazy. Haha. These look amazing with the check suit. You stunner!
