If you read about my experience at St. Martin’s Lane last year, you’ll know why I’m a fan of SBE Hotels. They have a way of combining luxury and eclectic-cool like no one else. So when it came time to check into Sanderson London, I was particularly excited.
Upon arriving at the hotel, I immediately knew that it was a part of the SBE brand. Sleek design with eclectic touches, and a casual yet distinctly luxury feel is what’s so unique about the hotel group. Hospitality is also SBE Group’s strong suit, and I expected nothing less at Sanderson London. I was greeted with smiles right at the entrance of the hotel, which continued throughout my stay. Check-in was smooth, and the staff accommodated my every request.
My room was massive. The design was clean and minimal, but had the same feel as the rest of the hotel. And luckily, the weather was nice and sunny so I could enjoy the terrace! It came in particularly handy the next day when I was having breakfast. I mean, is there anything better than croissants and avocado toast in the sun?
When it comes to a good hotel, location is everything, and Sanderson London does not disappoint. Located in the heart of Fitzrovia, Sanderson London has just about everything within reach. From restaurants to fitness studios, it’s right there in the heart of London, with a comfortable distance away from the hustle and bustle. Also great to note that it’s about a 5 minute walk from Oxford Street, but because of the street it’s on, the area isn’t packed with tourists. And the tube is also a stone-throw away, in case you’d like to explore other areas of London.
That being said, Sanderson London has so much to offer in and of itself, that you can easily spend half your day at the hotel. The hotel is well-known for its afternoon tea, which can be enjoyed in either their stunning courtyard (hello flower swing), or their terrace which just launched. If you’re more of a night owl, the bar is bustling from 6pm onwards.
Sanderson London is the hotel for anyone and everyone who enjoys luxury with a casual feel. Needless to say, I’ll be back!
