Summer has proven to be the unsung hero of demonstrating one’s sartorial prowess. While the rest of the seasons allow one to exhibit their personal style by way of layering, summer compels one to get creative. Obviously covering yourself like an onion is not an option, so you’re limited to working with one layer which forces you to make it good. In an effort to prove my worth even during cutoffs season, here I am in a minimalistic maxi with a hat that says I could be a mountie police but haven’t quite learned how to ride a horse. In short, a hat is the easiest way to elevate any summer look, as long as you don’t mind feeling a little lightheaded on account of the fact that your head feels like a sauna. But what is life without sacrifices anyway?
A hat definitely elevates and that’s just why I wear them. I can’t wait to wear them more often come fall. Love your super laid back but oh so chic look.
